Manufacture Alabama is the only trade association in the state dedicated exclusively to the competitive, legislative, regulatory and operational interests and needs of manufacturers and their partner industries and businesses.

Based in Montgomery, Manufacture Alabama represents hundreds of companies in a wide range of industries that share common interests and goals and that face common competitive challenges in today's tough global marketplace. Some of our members are among the nation's largest, most recognized corporations. Many are mid-sized or small family-owned manufacturers or manufacturing suppliers and vendors. All of them are vital parts of a manufacturing base crucial to Alabama's economy and job base.

unplugged: Reconnecting • American Energy Policy with Reality
Initiated in Spring 2010, Unplugged Reconnecting American Energy Policy With Reality attempts to document the growing divide between the realities of American energy and the mainstream coverage of energy issues. By listening to a variety of voices - consumers, energy experts, environmentalists, regulatory analysts, and those who make the electricity we consume every day - the project tries to answer a question fundamental to our shared future: How should we power America? And what will it cost regular people?

From rural Alabama to Vancouver, British Columbia, to the hall os Congress, Executive Producer Lance Brown, Director Cameron Cardwell, and Associate Producer Josh Veazey reveal a nation facing critical decisions about how to keep America's lights burning. In the end, they allow policy makers a glimpse into perspectives that are often left undocumented by mainstream media and conclude that the U.S. doesn't face an energy crisis; it faces a political crisis.
