"Fly-In" is an important opportunity for
MA members to meet with Alabama's U.S. Senators, Congressmen,
and their top staffers to discuss manufacturing issues and
challenges. This fifth annual trip also will include expert
presentations on Federal issues and bills that impact manufacturing
competitiveness. Be part of our strong message for manufacturing
in our nation's capital! Note that our dinner with our Congressional
Delegation is scheduled for the first evening on the fly-in,
so please make your travel plans accordingly. |

CONGRESSMAN
JO BONNER was elected to his third term in 2006, and
has continued to develop and support policies that
benefit Alabama residents and manufacturers. Congressman
Bonner serves on a number of committees including:
Appropriations, Budget and Standards of Official Conduct,
more commonly known as the Ethics Committee.
BRIAN KELLEY is
the Director of Grassroots and Constituent Relations
at the National Mining Association (NMA) in Washington
D.C. where he manages federal advocacy efforts
as well as handles all election and campaign issues
for the mining industry. He will be giving
us his perspective on the 2007-2008 political landscape
and how the changing political landscape of Washington,
D.C can affect the nation.
ROBERT SZABO is
a member of the Washington, D.C. law firm, Van
Ness Feldman and is also the Executive Director
of CURE (Consumers United for Rail Equity) a coalition
of freight rail customers seeking changes in
federal law and policy that would require railroads
to provide more competitive pricing and reliable
service. He executes the program of CURE by providing
legislative counsel, legal and advocacy services
and management of the effort. |

Registration Fee: $450.
Cost of the Fly-In is $450 per person. Registration fee includes lunch, meeting
materials and expenses, and travel to and from the hill. Dinner with Congressional
Delegation will be pro-rated after the event.
Cancellations: Cancellations
must be received by Manufacture Alabama no later
than close of the business, May 23, 2008. Refunds
will not be possible after that date.
Hotel Information: Make hotel
reservations directly with Hamilton Crowne Plaza.
Manufacture Alabama has received a special rate of $259
per night, which will be available only until May 5.
