The Economic Growth and Development
committee develops solutions to enhance existing manufacturers’ competitiveness
in a global marketplace and develops strategies that will
enable Alabama’s manufacturers to reach their full
economic potential. Eighty percent of all new jobs
are created by existing industry, and with that realization,
the committee focuses on existing manufacturers. The
committee also interfaces with the Alabama Development Office,
the State Docks, the Department of Transportation and other
public and private groups that play a role in economic growth
and expansion. |
