Members in Manufacture Alabama's Policies and Agendas |
An
active committee structure is the backbone of Manufacture Alabama’s
legislative and regulatory agendas and development of the Association’s
messages, policies and programs. Through its 12 committees,
Manufacture Alabama encourages representatives of its member
companies to take a meaningful role in setting direction and
priorities. Committee membership is open and not limited in number,
affording every Manufacture Alabama member company the opportunity
to help shape the direction of the Association and the future
of the state’s manufacturing base.
The
committee structure is an integral element in Manufacture Alabama’s
commitment to provide real value to its member companies and
their employees. Employing the specific experience and talents
of their members, the MA committees:

- Develop and recommend policy positions to the Board of
Directors
- Endorse and recommend legislative agendas for the Association
- Monitor and recommend activities and responses regarding
regulatory agencies
- Provide technical expertise to the Association and its
members in areas such as environmental compliance, saftey
and security practices, labor and legal matters, energy issues
and more.
- Provide analysis and recomment positions on specfic legislative
proposals.
- Plan and conduct value-added membership seminars, workshops
and presentations aimed at improving manufacturing procedures.
- Help the MA staff with development and dissemination of
communications messages to the media, the public elected
officials and MA members.
